Allan earned a B.S. and M.S. in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from the University of Utah. He was on staph with NYSC as the outdoor recreation coordinator for six summers in the 90's. Allan has worked as a land use consultant, water education coordinator for the State of Utah, and most recently was a natural resources extension agent for the University of Maryland. For the last three years, he and his wife, Suzanne, have been coordinating efforts to provide basic medical care to the 30,000 people of the Marovo Lagoon, Solomon Islands. International humanitarian work has provided Allan with more fulfillment than he could have ever imagined.
